2000s Misc Releases

Fuzors

2004. Fuzors seemed like a placeholder line to keep zoids in the minds of customers until Genesis was ready. All the models were recolors, though some were bundled together with extra parts to facilitate “fuzing”—the mashing up of two perfectly fine zoids into something hideous. At least there were some cool limiteds in this line…

FZ-002 König Wolf MK-II

When this one came out, it was good news for everyone who had missed out on CPs 22 and 23. I originally only got it for its swapping potential, but recently a lack of new kits drove me to revert this one to its stock configuration. If you like colors, this one has them. All of them! I took these pics with the flash on, which really shows how insane the colors are.

Of interest: the “fart cannon” pieces have a slight mold change from the NJR version. The mount’s hardpoints were changed to be the standard blox hardpoint size, to aid in “fuzing” possibilities.

FZ-010 Gorhecks

I got this from Claire over at kitty-bot. In the anime, this version of Gorhecks was part of the Peace Keeping Bureau, aka the Po-lice. Its mold was modified to allow a siren piece to go on top. It’s a nice touch.

FZ-018 Gairyuki Shin

Identical to the NJR version (RZ-070), with the addition of two new guns. The fuzors version also comes with an incredibly rubbery (yukk) anime pilot figure. Alteka from kitty-bot sent me some extra “new” guns, so I could double up the firepower! Also, I took off the “opposable thumbs” and bulky forearm armor, because I think it looks much better that way.

FZ-018 Gairyuki Shin Blox Support Units

The armor can separate to form blox support units, and leave poor Gary naked, save for one piece of tail armor and a sheepish grin. From left to right: Hien (swallow type, with guns from Gravity Saurer), Gekkou (horseshoe crab type), and Raiden (warthog type, made from the Shin-added guns).
