These were originally part of Buster Eagle before being sold separately here. I got a few, because Toy-Wave had them for 50 cents each, and one day I hope to articulate something.
I don’t know much about these. I think they came out late 2004. I ended up using some on my Decalto Dragon. Toy-Wave still has them for pretty cheap, so I got a ton.
It would have been nice if the colors matched. I am hella going to paint these up. Someday. More pics to come. Also someday. You can affix this CP to Command Wolf, but I wouldn’t recommend it.
I’ve been neglecting the missile box part of this unit, because I find the gun more flexible on its own—it can go almost anywhere! The whole unit is made for Elephander or Blade Liger, though it definitely looks better on the former.
German for “cutter” or “Blade Liger on crack”. This is the “omg pointy stabby cutty” CAS. The colors are a bit odd, but somehow work for me.
CP-18 is yet another goodie for ol’ Spino, SOLD SEPARATELY, of course (though pretty cheap these days). The packaging showed the arm as being gray, which would definitely look better. I will probably bust out the paint one of these days.
German for “hunter”, perhaps also a reference to Chuck Yeager, the “fastest man alive”. This is the “speed” CAS. I love the boosters on this one and would try to use them in a custom, but all the CAS-es are hell of rare now.
German for “tank” or “armored”, depending. This is the “firepower” CAS, and my favorite. It was way underused in the /Zero anime.
CP-22: Dual Sniper Unit / CP-23: AZ-5 Missile Unit
I somehow lucked out and got the two CPs right before they disappeared. The secret was getting them the DAY they were released. I usually just have CP-22 applied, because both is overkill. I do want to paint the missiles in CP-23, though…
For the longest time I wondered if this limited version’s grey matched the weird grey of NJR Hammer Rock. It didn’t help that there were no good pictures anywhere. Well, now I know! The answer: close, but NO. This grey is very neutral, with no weird lavender cast to it.
My favorite CP of the bunch, because boosters are nearly always cool. And, as a bonus, you get a “Wolverine” claw! The only bummer is that it comes with white caps, so it helps to have some spare red ones handy.
Inspired by Tilly and Rick R, I affixed a CP-24 onto my Red Wing. Be sure you have some extra caps for it, because the white ones that come with the CP match nothing! I tried to put them in other places that might look better, but no amount of ski11z or spare parts could help me.
Sure the box SAYS it can be used on Hammer Rock, but it doesn’t look all that great. Moving on…
You absolutely have to do some kind of detailing on this set, or it looks bleh. Anyway, this is the “drop him in the middle of a battlefield and run” CP. “All-Direction” is right.
HMM clear parts? OH MY! This was a festival limited, like all the other HMM CP sets, but the first to feature clear parts (most have been chromed).
This is from Kotobukiya’s M.S.G. (Modeling Support Goods) line of weapons and parts. While M.S.G. stuff is made for Giant Human Like Battle Robots, this one can (probably) be used on Zoids, so I’m including it here. Also, I have no other outlet for non-Zoid models. For now, check out the build review and this awesome vidya (which means it’s not mine).
A motorized gatling gun with a totally hidden motor? How did they do it? The answer may surprise you.
I’m combining the regular post and the build review, just because. Is this one more fun to play with than the gatling gun? The answer may surprise you.
I may never find the LB Darkhorn at a sane price, but thanks to a promo trying to get people to buy ZED (Evo Drive) zoids, and MANY thanks to ebay’s apezyap, I got the most important part—the guns.
I discovered that ZP-A (Power-up Parts for the Genesis hero zoids) looked really good on ol’ Boney here. The sword is the “Bio Crusher” for Sword Wolf, and the thingies are the “Wind Dancers” for Rainbow Jerk.
This pack, ZP-B, came with Deadly Kong’s wrist claws (the “Scissor Arm”), as well as some blades for Lanstag called—LULZ—Twinkle Breakers. Since I don’t have a Lanstag, I thought I’d make Deadly Kong even deadlier.
