EMZ-26 Hammer Rock (with tiny food)

When I was taking pics of all the possible weapon variations, I also took a few that took advantage of Hammer Rock’s “serving tray”. Somehow I forgot to post most of them, though. The tiny food in pics 1–4 came from a co-worker, and pic 5′s is from one of my mom’s Re-Ment sets.

1981: Mechatoros

The Mechabonica (“mechanical bones”) line was launched in 1981 as a “test balloon”. They didn’t do so well, so they got shipped off to America, as the OAR many of us old farts grew up with. In 1983, Tomy tried again, and I think you know the rest of the story.

Through some miracle I managed to find an MIB Mechatoros on Yahoo Japan, and I didn’t even have to give up a kidney for it! No way in hell I’m opening this one. See OAR bird for a built one.

Another YJ bargain. It’s missing the original rockets, and there was shoulder repair done, but otherwise it’s lookin’ good. Since he’s missing the rockets, I thought I’d see how many other weapons could fit. Turns out a lot of weapons fit, and some even look good!

You can pass on this one unless you find it for hell of cheap. It replaces the cockpits of certain zoids with a light, for eerie eyes of doom. The only problem is where to stash the mega battery pack. Coming some day: pics of it attached to my Evil Pegasus (the reason I got this gradeup)!

24-Scale: E24-03 Dontress

I got this in the not-expensive lot with the Reddra. The Wave reissue is identical, except that this one has the sweet clear blue bits (the Wave’s are orange) and blue caps (grey on the Wave).

EHI-05 Brachios Newtype

OMG the pilot doesn’t ride in the head!? I thought I lost the chest gun pictured on the box, but apparently it was never included. Phew! I seem to see the “newtype” variant on auctions more often than the “regulartype”, which has silver armor and dull red underbits—like the NJR, but then the gun and cockpit are black.
