• Whatever the newest post is (Zoids posts, news posts, “meta” stuff), it will appear at the top of the front page. For visibility and all that.
• Under that: recent Zoids posts, links to the last few news posts, recent comments, new/updated pics (lots of them).
• It looks better on bigger screens, but probably not as good on tiny (less than 1024×768) screens.
• More thick black lines, because I wanted them!
• I redid all the random corner images (because I lost the original Photoshop file), and added a couple more.
• I added more randomly changing stuff (the corner, banner, and footer backgrounds change color every time you load a page).
• I added a bunch of crazy CSS3 stuff. (Round corners! Shadows!)
• Hopefully the design is cleaner? HA!
• Probably a ton of bugs in Internet Exploder (I am pretty sure I don’t want to know about these).
• Still no new content!

There are still a few lingering things that annoy me, so I’ll get to those in, uhh, two years. Also, I changed the name to “…and Stuff” partly because I’m trying not to use so many dang cusswords on my sites, but mostly because of Ron Swanson.

  The only thing this is missing is a “best viewed in Netscape” button. And content. But hey, this was the second Zoids site ever. (The first one was a 1995 user page on teleport.com that was gone shortly after. As you can see, I have been using some variation of that background image (from Techno Zoids boxes) since the beginning!
• 1997
  
  In which I discover animated gifs. Also, my first plastic swap (an all silver Merda)! I didn’t have a camera at the time, so I just shooped it, and provided shooping instructions.
• 1998
  
  I got burned out on inter-nets.
• 2000–2001
  
  I had a nifty ascii-art splash page, even though splash pages are stupid and annoying and useless. The 2000 subpage header was a bad shoop of Death Saurer about to destroy Atlanta, because I lived there at the time, and hated it. The 2001 one is something else, because I moved away. On both, the bad posterization effect was intentional (trying to make bad photos look less bad doesn’t always work).
• 2003
  
  I tried a different color scheme. That’s it.
• 2006 (or thereabouts)
  
  Still blue, but starting to look like the current layouts. First appearance of the random corner image. I also started trying to arrange things into categories. By hand. I made each entry a separate text file, and then used virtual includes on each of the category pages. It was a pain. During this time I had an “old designs” page, which I forgot to restore until now.
• 2007–2008
  
  The last pre-Wordpress site, and the first appearance of the “Gustav carrying Smeat” banner (since I got a real can around this time). Also around this time, “lightbox” style scripts were invented, so I could finally ditch that custom popup script I’d been using for images since 2000. It was pretty nice, all conforming to the image size and having a loading status, and even a title, but UGH I HATE POPUPS. I had a bunch of other silly javascript stuff in this design too. The top menu always stayed at the top, and a “go back to top” link always stayed in the lower right corner. I was also into showing and hiding blocks of text for some reason.
• May, 2008–January, 2012
  
  So I thought I’d learn how to do a site in WordPress. I spent too much time trying to get things to work to mess with the design.

1: A Merda with a Seismosaurus gunner seat for a head. I ended up using the gunner seat for the Helcat MK-II custom.

2–3: A very black Geno Breaker. I painted some extra Breaker parts I had, and put them on a Geno Saurer I used to have (I sold it before I got around to taking any pics of it).

4–5: Techno Zoids Kong and Deadly Kong. It wasn’t as cool as I hoped.

6–8: NJR frame plus PK armor plus Techno Zoid’s motor equals a very very red Kong.

9–11: Take the above, and use Yeti armor instead, and you get… Rescue Kong!

12–14: This was my favorite until Karl’s Type. NJR armor plus PK frame equals a very dark Kong. All the different gunmetal shades here are pretty sweet. If I had an OJR MK-II (which had truly black armor), I could combine it with the Schubaltz inner frame (also truly black) and make a “none more black” one that would be impossible to photograph.

• The motor:
  
  It’s a standard windup motor (more on that later). Once you put the piece on the windup knob, the mechanism is completely hidden. Last pic is some crappy phone vidya, showing how it works.
• Painters beware:
  
  Part #10 slides over the gun barrels and is a pretty tight fit. I’m not sure how you’d go about painting this.
• Watch where you cut that:
  
  The gate marks for part #15 here are right on the little bolts, so watch out!
• Finishing up:
  
  1) The ammo box can go on either side. 2) If you leave these parts off (made for the hands of Giant Human Like Battle Robots), you may have more options for mounting the gatling on Zoids.
• But wait, there’s more!
  
  Since the motor is a standard windup motor, you can use the TS motor. It just takes one tiny cut (or a ton of more intricate ones I’m too lazy to figure out). The only downside is the huge gap in the back, where the windup knob should be. I’d like to be able to run the wire through there, but I haven’t looked into it yet.

Looking at all the reviews on the internets, it is painfully clear that I am missing a pic of this with the barrels spinning in a lovely motion blur. I will see what I can do about this!
