MIB for now. The OJR version has chrome guns and a cooler color scheme, but also costs ten times as much, so I’ll stick with this one. Bummer that neither version had clear eyes.

MIB for now. For some reason, this one’s box art (like the box art for Gorhecks) shows an opaque canopy. This filled my heart with fear when they came out, but rest assured the canopy inside the box is clear.

MIB for now. A nice reissue of one of the rarest OJRs.

MIB until such time as I need a hearty laugh.

MIB for now. I built one a long time ago, but ended up breaking one of the legs trying to take it out of the socket (this is very easy to do), so I’m not in much of a hurry to build this one.

Behold, the king of the whiteheads! This poor guy has seen better days. I’m missing half the little guns, and the neck connector has been replaced (that part is too fragile for what it needs to do). Giant Zrk (Bigasauru in the OJR) was the first large Zoid, and the basis for later large kits (cont’d)

This funny looking lion type used to be rarer than rocking horse poops until now. These Graphics kits have been pretty limited, though, so it could return to such rarity soon. The “present” for Vol. 10 is the two sprues from Figure Set No. 2 (Empire Soldiers). Empire soldiers are giants among men.

(Spoiler alert! It’s not real.) Deep within the mists of time (early 2001), there was an auction of a bunch of loose Zoids and Robo Strux kits. Most were in pretty bad shape and the only picture was of the whole lot of them just laying on the scanner. And the quality/resolution: not so good. (cont’d)

I’ve wanted to try this on my Holotech Spinosapper‘s saws forever, but was afraid of messing up. Then I found a backup. I think I did ok, even though it doesn’t look so hot up close. At least the effect was as cool looking as I had hoped. To add some contrast to the Hammer (cont’d)

Aaaand here’s the other half of the HMM Molga two-fer. The Canory unit has a lot of detail and looks great, but a lot of it is made from the semi-fragile brown plastic. Mine is showing stress lines where the arms mount to the gun, and also where the “jewel” under the barrel goes. Also (cont’d)

This kit was actually a two-fer, coming with a regular Molga, and one in Genesis colors with the Canory Unit. The HMM-ified Molga loses the secret missile compartment in the back, but gains a TON of flexibility, plus little grub-legs. I’d say it’s a fair trade. Since there weren’t enough pitfalls to warrant a full (cont’d)

So far, this one’s staying MIB until I can make more shelf room. I did take out the bonus “present” for this set, though. It’s the other sprue from Remodel Set No. 1!

Not much to say here, but things are different. Apart from the brand new pilot (which has very basic articulation!), I was surprised to discover the caps are a bit smaller than their rubber Tomy counterparts.

This booklet came with the first production run of HMM-008 Molga/Molga Canory to commemorate the release of ten HMM kits. It’s printed on high quality, thick paper and has all the box art from the first ten releases.

Well, Irvine’s gun has never looked better. Empire Command Wolf LC was the second limited kit from the HMM line, released summer 2007. It is a recolor of the regular Command Wolf, but it also includes a new weapon—the long range cannon (like Irvine’s variant in the NJR). It sold out quickly, teaching a valuable (cont’d)

Sea Panther (poor romanization for Panzer?) is one of the most anticipated reissues in the Graphics line. It pretty much sold out instantly, leaving lots of people in the lurch, preorders be damned. Thankfully they’re doing another run in December, but those could go just as quickly. And with good reason: Sea Panther has never (cont’d)

Another bonus from brother WIKD, thanks! Lighting was against me with these pics. The background is all weird, but the Gator’s colors are pretty spot on. Which is frightening. The upper parts do have a nice metallic sheen to them, though. I’m going to try a swap with my other ’gators, because I think either (cont’d)

The sticker sheet had a ton of stickers with black print… that were to go on a black zoid! Luckily, I had substitute stickers to apply.
