TS (Thruster System) Motor
This motor is one of new developments from the Rebirth Century line. It consists of a reworked windup-sized gearbox and an external battery pack. Official releases with this motor are Barigator TS, Tiga Godos, and the super-rare Merda TS (a “Guylos” colored limited).
SO, I wanted to see how many Zoids could use this motor, without any darthing (or visible darthing, in the case of Snipe Master).
Zoids that weren’t compatible:
- Double Sworder/Saicurtis (non-generic motor)
- Garius (nowhere to mount the battery pack)
- Gator (nowhere to mount the battery pack)
- Godos (wires get tangled in the arms)
- Gun Sniper (nowhere to mount the battery pack)
- Malder (non-generic motor)
- Molga (non-generic motor)
- Pteras (non-generic motor)
- Sea Panther (non-generic motor)
- Sinker (non-generic motor; water hazard)
- Spiker/Mantazoid (nowhere to mount the battery pack)
- Storch (non-generic motor)
- Twinhorn (non-generic motor; no openings in inner frame for wires)
- Whiteheads not mentioned above (non-generic motor)
Zoids to try:
Taking requests, if doable! Tried them all!

can you also put it in pteras?
May 21st, 2009 at 1:44 pm | #Nuts, Pteras’s motor has a special part on it for the wing movement, so I couldn’t do the TS motor
May 21st, 2009 at 9:07 pm | #ahh that stinks but i want to get one of these too. Could you tell me where you got them?
May 22nd, 2009 at 10:09 pm | #How about Rev Raptor? >.>
May 23rd, 2009 at 1:17 am | #@Ash: I forgot the specific seller, but I got this guy on ebay. Hobby Link Japan and Toy-Wave should still have them, too.
@Xehn: Dang, I don’t have a Revvy anymore. The battery pack might be too long to fit on the back peg, anyway…
May 24th, 2009 at 9:43 pm | #Will it work on Twinhorn?
May 27th, 2009 at 9:08 pm | #Shadowfox? That’s a windup, isn’t it?
July 2nd, 2009 at 1:38 pm | #@Stompy: I think that one had the larger size windup motor… and I don’t have one anymore :(
July 2nd, 2009 at 2:03 pm | #Shadow Fox does indeed have the larger size motor.
July 7th, 2009 at 7:11 pm | #Spinosapper?
July 31st, 2009 at 12:25 pm | #I gave it a shot with Revvy. It does work if you find somewhere to stick the battery pack, like using one of the peg-to-peg adapters that hold it onto the Godos to put it on the tail.
August 1st, 2009 at 2:10 pm | #@Xehn: that’s the #2 problem I have… trying to find a place for the battery pack (#1 is trying not to pinch the wires)
@Rykke: Spinosapper worked! Pics to come…
August 2nd, 2009 at 12:37 am | #This is an interesting experiment. Does the motor make them run faster than they normally would with a wind-up motor or do they run at about their normal speed?
August 13th, 2009 at 9:08 am | #@Zoidstar: the motor-enhanced speeds seem to range between “slightly faster” and “bat out of hell”, depending on the Zoid. Merda’s the fastest, just like with the windup motor.
August 13th, 2009 at 5:42 pm | #i see you have tried it on a Guysak how well did it work?
August 14th, 2009 at 2:27 am | #@Lucian: It worked great!
August 14th, 2009 at 12:56 pm | #Wow, this was pretty informative! Thanks for posting all these!
September 18th, 2009 at 7:54 am | #so to make this clear, barigator ts (rebirth century) automatically has the ts motor right?
March 5th, 2010 at 8:42 am | #@mammoth: Yep, the rebirth version (ts) has the special motor. I think Toy-Wave still has em for cheap too!
